Whether it be obtaining permissions via the relevant authorities, generating certificate of origins, ensuring originals reach destination safely, we cover it all helping take the stress of paperwork out of your logistical needs. Each shipment when sending commercial cargo, requires a commercial invoice and packing list. For goods over the value of $270, a certificate of origin containing the origin of manufacture, created by the local chamber of commerce at origin will also be required. On the portal online under ‘my Intercargo’ it will allow you to request purchase of a certificate of origin. To create a certificate of origin, you will require a commercial invoice and a packing list.

Key things to display on your commercial invoice (Alongside the template found under the download centre): *HS Code *Accurate Weight *Commercial Invoice Number *Original hand signature (electronic signatures/stamps are prohibited on paperwork and will count as copies) All documents are required in original, signed and stamped format at destination for clearance. If the documents are not present at time of clearance, there is an option to put a refundable deposit down until the originals are received within 14 days of arrival of the shipment. A non-refundable fee for processing missing documents will also apply.

Do I need an Intercargo account to ship to Germany?

No, at Intercargo there is no need for an account. You simply pay by credit/debit card or at any Barclay’s branch for each booking you make. 

Does Intercargo accept bookings to PO Box Numbers in Germany?

For international destinations we will accept PO Box addresses providing the receiver is contactable by telephone. Please ensure that the receiver's telephone number is entered correctly on the Intercargo booking form.

Are transit times guaranteed to Germany?

No, transit times are provided as a guide only. 

Transit times are in working days and based on deliveries to major Airports/Seaports. They are subject to change depending on the location of collection and delivery, as well as shipment contents, weight and value. There may also be circumstances beyond our control. When will my shipment arrive into Germany?

What if I do not know the destination postcode in Germany?

For international shipments, a postcode is required for countries which have a postal code system. This is used for completing the airway bill for your shipment. For countries with numeric postcode systems or you do not know the destination postcode, please check with the receiver or leave blank.
